Rosemerry Noble-Allen Nelson. I am a native of Atlanta, Georgia. I was educated in the Atlanta Public Schools. I was one of two students selected from my seventh grade class to assist in furthering the integration process at West Fulton High School in 1964. I graduated cum laude with a B. S. degree in Elementary Education from Morris Brown College. I have taught Pre K through 5th grade. I was awarded the Teacher Consultant Certificate of Merit from Kennesaw State University Writing Project. I completed the Professional Learning Georgia’s Choice-America’s Choice Course, involving over 600 hours of training in Standards Based Instruction through the National Council on Education and Economy in order to further my studies as a Master Teacher in Elementary Education Literacy. I am a State of Georgia certified K-12 Reading Specialist. I provided additional educational support to Title I Neglected & Delinquent students for the 2007-2008 school year. I was awarded the distinction of being a Veteran Teacher Support Specialist through the DeKalb County, Georgia’s School System’s Department of Staff Development. In this role, I served as a mentor teacher by modeling the delivery of effective classroom instruction. I was a literacy workshop presenter at the 2004 National America's Choice Conference in Hollywood, CA. I received recognition as Columbia Elementary School’s 2000-2001 Teacher of the Year. I am a 2008 graduate of DeKalb County School System’s Gifted Endorsement Program. I am the founder of A-Z Literacy Development Consultants & Associates, LLC, conducting educational learning workshops across the country. I am the co-author of two educational publications; (1)an anthology, “Inside Out” and (2) “Effective Practices for Improving Student Reading Achievement: Teachers’ Perspectives and Research-based Recommendations”. I am a poet and a published author. I am a 2007 graduate of the Women’s Economic Development Association. I am an ordained pastor / apostle, founder & executive director of Let Your Life Shine Community Outreach Ministries, Inc. , a nonprofit providing resources to families who are at risk of hunger, homelessness, hopelessness, and illiteracy since 1981. I am the recipient of the 2018 Georgia HOPE Site Recognition and the 2014 Recipient Trinity Nonprofit Lifetime Award. I am a member of various civic community organizations. I have a loving family which includes my husband, three sons, one daughter and fourteen children.
